Shepherdson & Company was established in 2021 with a strong commitment to community service, initially providing pro-bono accounting and advisory support to not-for-profit organisations and non-government entities. This foundation reflected the firm’s core values of integrity, service, and social responsibility.
Beginning as a sole proprietorship (historical ABN 69 454 646 806), Shepherdson & Company was restructured as a corporate entity in 2025 to better meet the growing needs of its clients and to expand its professional services. In the same year, the company formally became a practice entity and a Chartered firm with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Today, the firm continues to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards, combining technical excellence with a genuine commitment to supporting clients, strengthening organisations, and contributing positively to the wider community.

Ariana Shepherdson CA
Principal
From a young age, Ariana knew she wanted to pursue a career in accounting. By seventeen, she had already completed her Advanced Diploma of Accounting, and just two years later, she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting. Her academic journey was marked by consistent excellence — earning top awards, merit distinctions, and high honours that reflected not just talent, but also an unwavering dedication to her craft.
Now, with over sixteen years of experience, Ariana has grown into a Chartered Accountant whose career spans financial reporting, taxation, business advisory, governance, and beyond. But what truly defines her isn’t just the breadth of her expertise — it’s the values she brings to her work and how she shows up for people. Ariana aims to bring empathy, clear communication, and integrity into everything she does.

Engagement & Communications Officer
Charlie brings a unique perspective to Shepherdson & Company, drawing on his professional background as a teacher and his passion for helping people learn and grow. In the classroom, he developed a strong ability to communicate clearly, simplify complex topics, and inspire confidence in others — skills he now applies to his work in client and community engagement.
As Engagement & Communications Officer, Charlie is responsible for ensuring that Shepherdson & Company’s message is accessible, meaningful, and aligned with the firm’s values. He plays a key role in strengthening relationships with clients, coordinating community initiatives, and ensuring open, transparent communication across all touchpoints.
Charlie is particularly passionate about using communication as a tool for empowerment. Whether it’s helping clients understand the resources available to them, highlighting the firm’s community initiatives, or ensuring that stakeholders remain informed and connected, his approach is always grounded in clarity, empathy, and purpose.
